Initial Psychiatric Intake & Evaluation (75–90 min)
Our first session gives us time to get a clear picture of what’s been going on, not just recently, but the patterns and experiences that may have brought you here.
We’ll talk through your symptoms, health and psychiatric history, previous treatments, what has or hasn’t worked, and what you’d like to feel different. We’ll also look at the things that can easily get missed: sleep, hormones and your cycle, nutrition, movement, relationships, stress, major life changes, and the patterns you’ve noticed in yourself over time.
We’ll explore whether your experiences fit any particular diagnoses during this visit. A diagnosis can give us useful language and help guide treatment, but it isn’t meant to define you or turn every difficult part of being human into a disorder.
From there, we’ll make sense of it together. I’ll share what I’m seeing, answer your questions, and walk you through the options that make the most sense for you. That may include medication, lab work, supplements, lifestyle changes, therapeutic support or a thoughtful combination.
You should leave with a better understanding of what’s going on, what we can do about it, and where we go from here.
Psychiatric Follow Up Sessions (30 min)
Follow-ups are where we check in on how you’re actually doing and continue shaping treatment around what you need.
We’ll review medications, symptoms, side effects, and progress, while also making space for whatever may be affecting your mental health at that point (i.e- your cycle, sleep, energy, stress, relationships, nutrition, movement, or simply what life looks like lately).
We’ll talk through changes together, answer questions as they come up, and adjust the plan when something isn’t working the way we hoped. We may also revisit the diagnosis as we learn more over time because sometimes the clearest picture doesn’t emerge in one appointment.
The goal is to keep building on what we learn together, so your care continues to make sense for you and the life you’re actually living.
